Objectives of the
Opolskie Province Office
in Opole


    In the spirit of service for the country and drawing upon the finest traditions of reliable and friendly administration, we are a modern public institution which caters for the needs of residents of the Opolskie Province.


Office Structure

The Opolskie Province Office in Opole ensures the Opole Governor's capability to execute the orders of the body of central administration, which holds the authority of general administration concerning mainly the following areas:

  • execution of the Government's policy objectives, with regard to regional circumstances,
  • supervision over the activity of joint government administration and provision of conditions for their effective operation,
  • provision of cooperation between the units of government and local administration in the field of prevention of threats and risks to the following areas: life, health, property, environment, state security, public order, citizens' rights, as well as prevention of natural disasters and other extreme hazards by counteracting and removing their effects,
  • representation of the Council of Ministers during state ceremonies and official visits paid by representatives of foreign countries in the Province
  • cooperation with relevant bodies of other states and international government and non-government organisations
  • supervision over the operation of bodies in communes, regions, and Province local government,,
  • representation of the State Treasury,
  • issuing decisions in individual matters in the field of government administration belonging to the Governor's competence, conducting matters concerning appeals against decisions to the administrative court and application of regulations on administrative enforcement proceedings in administration;
  • publishing the Opolskie Province Office Journal.

Detailed scope of the functioning of departments, organisational units and separate positions as well as the rules governing their operation is regulated by the Organisational Rules and Regulations of the Office.
